It's Beginning to Look Alot Like Christmas
December 10th, 2010Everywhere I look now a days it looks like Christmas. I see the
Nativity scenes, lighted Christmas trees, decorated houses, Christmas shoppers carring packages and Churches having their Christmas concerts and plays.
I love this time of year because almost everyone seems happy and cheerful. Families get to spend time with the ones they love or don’t see very . Christmas means different things to some people but what it means to me is that Jesus was born this day in the town of Bethlehem and I am thankful for him everyday.
ITC Breakfast
December 10th, 2010WOW !! Some mornings I don’t know what I would do if we did not have our ITC Breakfast during our first break.
When ITC started serving cereal every morning during first break it was much appreciated by many students (me included). Many mornings I would run out of time getting ready for school and did not eat breakfast at home. So about 8 or 8:30 I would begin to get hungry and my stomach would start growling. That’s when I could not concentrate very much on my schoolwork. But then I would eat some cereal and was good until lunch time. Thank you everyone in ITC for contributing the cereal, milk, bowls, spoons and gloves so this can be possible.
Administrative Assistant’s Career Booth
November 29th, 2010I volunteered last Tuesday, Nov. 23rd to help some of my classmates with the Administrative Assistant’s Career Booth at Metro Tech’s High School Career Day.
During Career Day our booth gave typing speed tests on laptop computers to high school students. We had men compete against men, students compete against teachers, men compete against ladies, and ladies compete against ladies. It was very interesting to see who could be the fastest in typing. Whoever won between the two competing got a piece of chocolate. The best typing speed that day was a young male student who typed 94 words per minute with 8 mistakes.
We had many young students try their skills and they seemed to enjoy listening to information about our class.
