I would like to take this time to say Thank You for “Thanks Giving” to my instructor Ms. Cynthia Samuels and my Administrative Assistant class of Business Professional of America members. I want to thank them for being who they are and for embracing the Character First trait of hospitality that they all posses as we continue to develop in our quest for program completion here at Metro Tech.

The Thanksgiving holiday, to me, kicks off the season for giving and sharing with others. For some people, it is who we know and love that we are willing to share our hospitality with and for others it’s whom we have come to know or don’t even know at all. But what we do know is this…there is a need out there and it is bigger than us. This November our Metro Tech Administrative class came together and prepared four Thanksgiving food baskets. Thanksgiving is the realization of being personally blessed and fortunate enough to give to others. We decided to find families within our own classroom that might need assistance with their holiday meal. During our group meetings, it was realized that the need went beyond our class so we cheerfully agreed upon several families known by our instructor or classmates. The baskets were delivered to the families and they were very humble and appreciative. I love seeing others smile. It was a very warm feeling to know that we were helping someone else perhaps to lessen a burden this holiday season. It validates the hospitality that continues to build inside of all of us.
